Vice President - Alan Balthrop

Archivist - Ellen Braun

Club Mascot - Chip Morgan

ORAC was founded in 1987 by Sandy Williams. We started as a fan club for the British series Blake's 7, and have branched out to be the official home . . . for just about everything! We're based in the Dallas, Texas, area, but have members worldwide.

We may be fans, but we're not slackers! ORAC holds regular meetings every month in some of the coolest residences in the D/FW area. At our meetings, we plan future activities, discuss fan news and upcoming conventions. And, of course, we socialize. And if you're interested in home theater and stereo . . . welcome to heaven.

Our socializing can take many forms -- playing Whose Line is it Anyway? or our own invention, ''Doctor Who Wants to be a Millionaire'', stargazing, watching movies or television, or just talking about the fandoms we love so much. No matter what you're interested in, you'll probably find a kindred soul in ORAC.

Here are some of the fun things ORAC has done over the past few years:

Every December we hold a charity auction to raise money for the club and causes important to our members. Check out the club calendar for the exact location of this year's auction.

ORAC Restaurant Hall Of Shame

For some reason, ORAC causes restaurants to close. We ate at these restaurants as a group, and they are now dust in the wind. No, we can't explain it either.

  • Alamo Cafe, Dallas
  • Dairy Queen, Archer City
  • Denny's, Midway at LBJ, Dallas
  • Denny's, North Collins, Arlington
  • Fuddruckers, Addison
  • Jojo's, Midway at 635, Dallas
  • Luke's Hamburgers, Houston (now Zone D'Erotica)
  • McKay's Steakhouse, Bedford*
  • McKay's Steakhouse, Irving*
  • Monterey House, Hurst*
  • Mr. Gatti's, Arlington
  • Mr. Gatti's, Hurst
  • Old Spaghetti Warehouse, Fort Worth
  • Olde Country Buffet, Denton
  • Planet Hollywood, Dallas
  • Shoney's, Dallas*
  • Underwood's Barbecue, Waco

By some quirk in the universe, we've also gathered at Crystal's Pizza in Irving and Fuddrucker's in Irving but neither restaurant has closed. Yet.
